Who’s playing: Behemoth with At The Gates and Wolves In The Throne Room

The Polish blackened death metal band is touring North America, headlining the Ecclesia Diabolica America 2018 tour. Behemoth’s latest album I Loved You At Your Darkest was released Oct. 5. Tickets are available online.

What’s happening: Deafheaven with DIIV U.S. tour

Who’s playing: Deafheaven and DIIV with Ionna Gika (fka lo Echo)

Who can go: All ages

Where: Paper Tiger

When: Tuesday, Oct. 23. Doors @ 7:00 p.m.

San Francisco-based Deafheaven released its newest album, Ordinary Corrupt Human Love, this summer. DIIV joins Deafheaven for their U.S. tour, and Ionna Gika will be opening for both bands until Oct.31. Tickets are available online.

Who’s performing: Alex Cunningham and Dane Rousay, Nicki Apostolow, The Whale

Who can go: All ages

Where: Flight Gallery

When: Tuesday, Oct. 23. 7:00-10:00 p.m.

The regular experimental music night will host St. Louis-based Alex Cunningham, who recently released Fiddle; Dane Rousay, a San Antonio-based artist; Nicki Apostolow, who will be performing a one-time live score for “Picture Show 33”; and The Whale, a San Antonio-based project. Who’s playing: The Toasters, Spies Like Us, Klax, Starlighter

Where: Jack’s Patio Bar

When: Tuesday, Oct. 23. Doors @ 7:00 p.m.

Presented by Twin Productions, second-wave ska band The Toasters — founded in New York City in 1981 — are joined by Spies Like Us (San Antonio), Klax (Austin) and Starlighter (San Antonio) at Jack’s for a night of ska. Tickets are available online.

What’s happening: A Deer A Horse at The Mix

Who’s playing: A Deer A Horse, Porridge Fist, Lloronas

Where: The Mix

When: Wednesday, Oct. 24. Doors @ 9 p.m.

Brooklyn-based band A Deer A Horse are on tour of North America to promote a yet-to-be-announced album. The band released a track called “Double Wide” in September. More information is available online.

Who’s playing: Young Heazy with Baldemar and We Leave at Midnight

Young Heazy released his latest album Whenever You’re Around I Hate Everything Less in June. San Antonio-based Baldemar and We Leave at Midnight will open. Tickets are available online.

Who’s playing: LUCA with Calmer Seas and Noise Quota

Where: Jandro’s Garden Patio

This free show presents LUCA, an indie emo bad from Central Texas; Calmer Seas, an Austin-based rock band; and Noise Quota, a four-piece group based in San Antonio. More info is available online.
