San Antonio’s music community will gather at Stable Hall for the revival of one of the city’s most beloved grassroots events: Imagine Fest. RE:Imagine Fest revives the spirit of the original "Imagine Fest," an iconic annual festival held between 2015 and 2019 at Imagine Books & Records. Known affectionately as the “Loudest Bookstore in Texas,” Imagine served as a cornerstone DIY venue, community hub, and launching pad for young musicians before its closure during the pandemic in 2021. The multi-stage festival will showcase more than 10 local bands alongside Austin rock legends The Black Angels.

Organizers Ezra Hurd, Noah Slavin, and Ezra Rodriguez have reunited to bring the festival back on an expanded scale.

“RE:Imagine Fest is coming to Stable Hall to reminisce on our music scene’s love and appreciation for our time with Imagine Books & Records,” said the festival’s founder Ezra Hurd. “Noah, Ezra R., and I are working together to share the spirit we had at Imagine with the next generation of musicians. This is about supporting the local music scene and giving our talented artists a platform to share their work with new audiences across San Antonio and beyond.”

Originally launched as a week-long festival on the city's northwest side to coincide with South By Southwest touring routes, Imagine Fest built a tight-knit artistic community by pairing local acts with regional and international performers.

“I’m especially looking forward to connecting back with the music scene after a few years away,” Hurd added. “It feels like coming back to your hometown and seeing old friends. I love San Antonio! Reconnecting with Ezra Rodriguez and Noah Slavin this year showed me how all our connections from Imagine have flourished across the city into new beginnings. I’m really happy to bring this dream back on a larger scale.”
